Petition Beer Corner – Perth
Opening in October 2015, Petition Beer Corner is the brainchild of Little Creatures Brewing founders Adrian Fini, Howard Cearns, David Martin and Nic Trimboli, as well as three of Fini’s business partners at FJM Property.
Nestled in the corner of the Heritage listed Como (Old Treasury) building, on the corner of Barrack Street and St Georges Terrace. Petition’s interior is fitted out with exposed brick and form work, clean minimal lines, organic tones and plenty of natural light from the large windows facing Barrack St / St Georges Trce.
With 18 x rotating, independent taps, and an extensive bottled list, you’re bound to find a beer that suits your pallet and mood. If you’re in doubt about any of the styles on offer, simply hit up one of the knowledgable, and certified staff (all having passed the official Certified Beer Servers under the global Cicerone program). With Petition being the only venue in WA, and the second in Australia, to demand this level of accreditation, from their staff.
The beer selection intended to be evenly poised between WA, interstate and international or one-off specialty beers. With a broad spread of styles, one third of which, being deliberately positioned to be more approachable. With glass sizes designed to suit your taste – 150ml, 300ml & 450ml.
Foodwise, there’s a compact, upmarket, pub grub menu selection that focuses fresh, local ingredients. If you’re keen for something more substantial you can pop next door to Petition Kitchen (or downstairs to Long Chim).
