Hoppers Garden Bar – Ponsonby

Hoppers Garden Bar is an enchanted, hidden secret, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Ponsonby Road (on the corner of Richmond).

Opening in August 2018 by sibling duo Bronwyn and Jessica Payne. The calming, quaint, and whimsical fit-out of Hoppers pays a strong homage to Alice in Wonderland. With lashings of tropical greenery, colourful quirky artwork, fringed lampshades, teapots, bookcases and vintage picture frames.

Behind the bar you’ll find 18 x ancient, solid, brass taps pouring an ever rotating selection of New Zealand’s finest craft beers. Add to that a stellar selection of cocktail creations, and wines and you’re on to a winner.

On the food side, Hoopers has you covered with delicious snacks such as steamed asian-style dumplings, sticky honey IPA ribs, braised beef tacos, tofu satay skewers, and lashings of other tasty treats.
