Gulp Riverside Taproom – Singapore
Back in the early 20th century, Robertson Quay (located on the Singapore River), played a crucial role in the city’s maritime trade. Warehouses and godowns (storage facilities) were built to store and sell goods such as rice, spices, rubber, and tin that arrived in Singapore for re-export.
Fast forward to 2024, and Robertson Quay is now a trendy and upscale district, known for its riverside restaurants, bars, cafes, and luxury condominiums.
However as we know, history has a habit of repeating itself. Except this time, instead of rice, spices, and rubber goods being on offer. A delicious, refreshing, liquid commodity. Imported from all the corners of the globe, including: Germany, Australia, New Zealand, England, Hong Kong and the United States) is now being purveyed – craft beer!
Located in a compact, chilled small bar at Roberson Quay, Gulp – Riverside Taproom is the brainchild of three friends who import, distribute and retail craft beer – Beer Clan, The Beer Pioneer and Quality Drops Beer.
This relaxed venue, located right on Singapore River, sports 8 x rotating taps, over 100 fridge beers, natural wines, ciders , spirits, soft drinks and a growing list of classic cocktails. Along with gourmet pies and sausage rolls from Neil Tome’s Piemonger.
